Measuring your finger with string or paper will not produce accurate measurements; order at your own risk if using sizes obtained in this manner. + Your finger size can vary throughout the day - the best time to measure is at the end of the day when your fingers are at their largest. Avoid measuring when your hands are cold, as your fingers may be half a size smaller than usual!

+ Your ring should fit comfortably on your finger: it should be snug enough not to fall off but loose enough to slide over your knuckle.

+ If you're buying a gift, the best way to determine the ring size is to borrow one of their rings (from the correct finger) and use our ring sizing guide to ascertain its size."

What is Julie Workshop?
Julie Workshop is an independent designer jewellery brand specialising in handcrafted pieces using precious metals, natural gemstones, and pearls. Each creation carries emotional and spiritual meaning, designed to connect with the wearer’s sense of self. 

AVANTELIER : Could you briefly introduce yourself and your creative philosophy?
Julie : I first built my foundation in metalwork during my time at art school, later continuing to learn and refine my skills alongside artists I deeply admire. When I founded my own independent brand, I wanted every piece to be an intuitive extension of myself — where lines, curves, and forms flow like an expression of consciousness.
 
I hope my jewellery brings beauty and playful possibilities to those who wear it. I believe everyone deserves something truly special. My wish is that people who connect with my work can feel its uniqueness and, through it, discover their own confidence and strength.
 
AVANTELIER : Could you briefly introduce your brand and its vision?
Julie : An independent designer jewellery brand rooted in precious metal craftsmanship, often incorporating natural gemstones, pearls, and other materials. AVANTELIER : Could you walk us through your jewellery-making process?
Julie : From sketching and gemstone selection, to wax modelling, casting, refining, stone-setting, and final polishing — each step is done by hand with careful attention to detail.
 
AVANTELIER : What has been your greatest challenge in the design process, and how did you overcome it?
Julie : My greatest challenge has been holding onto creative passion in the midst of everyday life. I overcome this by seizing those fleeting, inspired moments and translating them into tangible work through craftsmanship.
 
AVANTELIER : Where does your inspiration most often come from?
Julie : From daily life and emotions — the experiences and feelings that shape me are always at the heart of my creations.

AVANTELIER : What are your future sustainability goals for your brand?
Julie : My commitment lies in handcrafting unique pieces with natural materials and traditional techniques. Each piece is made to last a lifetime, while also allowing for recycling or remodelling if needed. In this way, the jewellery holds both permanence and adaptability.
 
AVANTELIER : How do you design timeless, classic pieces in today’s fast-paced fashion world?
Julie : By staying true to my own creative voice and handcrafting each piece with intention. Timelessness, for me, comes from authenticity and the care placed into every detail.

To care for S925 sterling silver:

+ Natural Oxidation: Sterling silver reacts with sulfur dioxide in the air, forming black silver sulfide over time. Oxidation and tarnishing are natural processes.
+ Soft Material: 925 silver is relatively soft. If the item bends during shipping, it can be gently adjusted back into shape.
+ Proper Storage: When not in use, store the jewellery in a cool, dry place, preferably in a tarnish-resistant pouch or a lined jewellery box, to minimise exposure to air and prevent oxidation.
+ Regular Cleaning: Clean your sterling silver regularly with a soft cloth to remove any tarnish or fingerprints.
+ Polish Gently: Use a silver polishing cloth for more intensive cleaning, and polish gently to avoid scratches.
+ Avoid Certain Environments: Keep the jewellery away from hot springs and seawater.
+ Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Keep away from harsh chemicals, including household cleaners, chlorine, and saltwater.
